#14 is Thai new year custom to douse people with water. You can't escape it and just accept and play along by dousing other people too. It's all good natured fun. There are other people/cultures out in the world besides the lard assed, pickup truck driving, self centered one.

Dude, C’mon, I get it’s your kid but manage that situation. I never once stood on a restaurant table. It’s called discipline and my parents made sure I knew.
