But a puma isn’t enough for the Dmitrievs—they have plans to adopt a leopard. Because Messi needs a friend. Might we suggest naming it Ronaldo?

There are rare exceptions to wild animals, and this is clearly one of them. He’s just a big house cat. They said he would have been put to sleep because the experts determined he wouldn’t survive on his own. Now these generous people can use the situation to promote education about mountain lions, conservation, and even the pet/ zoo industry.

People... I agree. That is still a wild animal, it gets startled at the wrong moment... and someone loses a hand. Good intentions don't always lead to good results.
