#7--No, Please use your flash ALL the time! That way your batteries will die and you will be forced to sit back and experience the thing you've probably paid a lot to see.

Some really helpful hints here! Thanks Izi! Saved this thread to my bookmarks. 
Inflation is currently ~2% per year. If you are not getting more than that per year as a raise, you are getting a pay cut. Make sure to take inflation into account when you get a raise.
