Not every supermarket offers a free cardboard box, i have never seen wetwipes for shopping trolleys, hunting is not illegal, you are allowed to grow vegetables, and thats just a start. some of it was right though. NZ is a cool place to live, even with the commies in power.
Not allowed to plant some invasive species in gardens, but most things fine. I think fruit trees are not allowed in public because it increases rat populations.
Walking barefoot is very common, even see some kids wearing shorts and no shoes to school in winter.

On the way to shops, there are many reminders to bring a reusable bag from your home or car. But if you still forget to take it with you, you can rent one for free and then bring it back.
