#18 well, if the parking break fails, the gear will yet hold the car. I'm also doing this, since parking breaks on old Audis can be unfair.

#20 - is a courtesy - seems courtesy got lost along the way somewhere. And like “Devoted” said above # 18 is best to leave the car in gear (if it’s a manual obviously). But anyway, good upload. As an old guy I can relate!
