#4 is At 432 Park Avenue, New York a clusters of unoccupied sections throughout the tower allow wind to flow through and stabilize the building. That tower's structural engineer, Silvian Marcus, said that without the large, open-air mechanical floors, 432 Park Avenue would noticeably sway and be unacceptable to residents.

#4 im pretty sure its for the wind currents.... (thats why its round in the middle).
also it doesnt make sense to build empty floors to make it higher....having an apartments there would be even more profitable. good

#1.. The so called "Aztec calendar" isn't..

#4.. Bullsh#t ... These are usually mechanical floors to consolidate and facilitate the electrical, plumbing and HVAC requirements of the building
If you are going to do this type of post at least be right about your answers

"In another measure to reduce the potentially uncomfortable effects of swaying due to wind vortex loading on such a flexible tower, 432 Park is divided into seven vertical segments, each with 12 occupied floors.
Between each segment is a two-story-tall section without any windows or interior space, allowing wind gusts to pass through rather than around the building. These floors also contain modular mechanical services for the six floors above and below to reduce the number of ducts needed."

#17 If you used this for heating a closed space you'd probably only do it once unless you were somehow immune to the effects of carbon monoxide.

“What’s this elastic band under my shoe’s Velcro strap?”

Answer: It’s for when you don’t strap your shoe. You can fold the Velcro strap in, let it just hang open, and show off the Nike brand logo.
