Axolotls are a type of salamander that are famous for their ability to grow back almost any part of their body, starting from their feet, legs, arms, tail, and up to the parts of the heart and brain. And the regeneration of their body parts isn’t the most surprising thing about them.
All organs in their bodies, including their eyes, can be transplanted from one axolotl to another without getting rejected by the recipient’s immune system. In 1968, researchers showed that they can transplant even the head from one axolotl to another and it’ll work just fine.
