#4 As someone with an interest in how languages evolve, I was already fascinated by the dawn of the apostrophe being used to indicate the plural. Now, I'm wishing I could live long enough to watch the emergence of the use of the comma to indicate the plural. Amazing times we live in. And yes, for all you people who take pride in being grammar nazis, but who are really just pedantic whiners, this is how language evolves. This is why you say 'you' instead of 'thee' and 'thou' - and 'one', for that matter; and why you say things such as 'snowed' instead of 'snew'. Get over it.

#1. (and mainly for Carwash Dick) IT'S METRE, not meter.
Just because Americans are unable to adopt all the language doesn't mean what they write is correct. A meter is a measuring tool, a metre is a measure of distance.
One needs to learn.
