#63 Even back then, it WASN'T home taping killing music. It was the total lack of talent they forced on us, that we didn't want to buy.

Christmas, Piss off. Every decade has produced amazing composers, musicians, vocalists, and performers from every genre. If it was played on the radio in the U.S.? It was free reign to record since it was publicly shared over the airwaves. It's different in other countries where airwaves are charged for, like the U.K. Licensing fees are so completely different from one country to the next. But with the onset of the internet, thus came the onset of every artist scrambling to protect their material since it was then, a free for all.

Now, thanks to censured countries, international taxation and licensing laws, it's all a clusterf@#k that's still under debate today.

Some countries are still free in radio programming, and for the fortunate few who've been smart enough to hang on to recording devices to duplicate the programs and music played over the air? We're still allowed to do so without fear of prosecution.
