#2: Guessing that the barrel has, say 100 gallons/379 liters of water, it weighs approximately 800 pounds/363 Kilos. Would be bad if the roof didn't hold.

Julie,That's a water cistern common on peoples roofs throughout Mexico
and other places they don't have reliable municipal water pressure
