#8 is a version of the "problem of other minds". Philosophers have been arguing over this one for a long long time, so the kid is in good company. The best Descartes came up with was "Cogito, ergo sum".

Solipsism is certainly one theory dealing with the the problem of other minds. Though in this kid's case, I would suggest it's more in line with philosophical zombie theory than solipsism.

8 is just basically pure narcissistic thinking. For the few that do outgrow it they say it is more prevalent in the younger group as is seen in the "confidence of youth." A few do outgrow this or altogether avoid this way of thinking though.

Very interesting post. As a child I believed that on a specific date that I would go to sleep and wake JP in another world. I firmly believed this would happen until the date past and I was awoke, still in this world.
