A word in the sentence IS "misspelled". It's not spelled incorrectly, it's just the word misspelled is in the sentence.
Think of it this way: it could have said "A word in this sentence is banana."

Interesting that you found a different solution than I did.
I read it as a british english vs american english thing where 'misspelled' should have been 'misspelt'.
I think both answers work, which is awesome.
