Carmon,
easy to say, his dog was being torn apart by 3 dogs with strong hold and pull, you can't stay upright and save the dog, or pull it up to you.

Tibbie,

Yes, their tails are wagging while at least one of them is trying to rip out the throat of the other dog. They're enjoying it. Don't be an idiot.

Tibbie, tail wagging means excitement, not friendliness. Aggressive dogs always wag their tails unless the aggression is fear-based. Then they tuck the tail between their legs.

Ote, exactly. Any breed has the potential for aggression. Irresponsible dog owners are the reason dog attacks happen. And the media craze if it’s a pit bull. Nobody even reports if it’s any of the so-called “good” breeds that attack people. They’ve created mass fear and stigma about a great breed with a history of serving in wartime, and nearly a century being family farm dogs.

Sadly for pit bulls, they are popular among a horrible genre of people who want them to be vicious and encourage it. They are powerful and can inflict more harm, and that makes them desirable for these people. Pit bulls outside of those environments can actually be amazing family dogs. Previously it was the Doberman popular with thugs, before that the German shepherd was ruined by these people. They’ll move on and ruin another breed in the coming generations.

I have a pit bull and two bull terriers. The pit is a rescued bait dog from a fighting ring and puppy mill. She’s covered in horrible scars, but she doesn’t have an aggressive bone in her body. She serves as a therapy dog at hospitals and senior homes and is the gentlest creature in the world. Her favorite things are babies, puppies, cats, and bunnies. She has been attacked by other dogs at the park and doesn’t even fight back - she just flees. Pit bulls are not inherently evil killers. Chihuahuas, for example, are far more aggressive but no one cares because they can’t really hurt you. That’s the only difference between pit bulls and other dogs.

Oh, and the “locking jaw” thing is a complete myth. They have no such mechanism. In fact, a German Shepherd has a stronger bite force than a pit bull. They aren’t demons.

About two Americans are killed each month by a pit bull

In 2019, pit bulls accounted for 91% of all reported fatal attacks on other animals, 91% of all fatal attacks on other dogs, 76% of all fatal dog attacks on cats, and 82% of all fatal dog attacks on other pets

In 2017, pit bulls killed 13,000 dogs, 5,000 cats and 20,000 horses and other farm animals.

It is not just pitbulls...There was Golden Retriever that got off leash and attacked my dog. I had to dive tackle the Golden and punch it in the face to get him off. And to make it even more memorable, the owner had the nerve to yell at me...

This is why I carry a police baton when I walk my dog. There'd be some cracked pit bull skulls if it were me.

A wagging tail means they want to engage. Doesn't always mean happy fun time.

I woulda pulled out my WWII flamethrower and burnt the entire neighborhood to the ground. The I woulda scalped all the landscapers in the park and drowned the fishermen with their nets and then I woulda killed the whole army.
