Ugh... there is massive disconnect between food sources and the perception of 'suitable for consumption' if this is a thing. We, as humans, are mostly not human due to the amount of bacteria and bugs living on and in us. Our food is no exception.

I bet she never ate fresh fruit directly from a plant.
Everything must be sterile and then wondering when allergies and other illnesses kick in.

DEAR GOD! she forgot to irradiate them with gamma rays from Cobalt60 or at least keep them in ionized atmosphere for couple hours to make sure it's perfectly sterile and safe to eat /s

People have been eating strawberries off the vine for centuries without this technique. This is just more fodder for the paranoid and fear inducers.

Gotta pick em or grow em yourself. The store bought ones always taste like nothing despite the huge size. Stomach acid dissolves and kills off just about everything unless you take PPI's then you might have a problem, but not from strawberries. Sheesh.

“I always ask my fan base for suggestions about what I should look at next and I’ve been getting a lot of comments about strawberries,” Thatnatchats told. “I believed they wanted to see the seeds up close so I was very surprised to find bugs when looking at strawberries under a stereomicroscope. I didn’t learn about how to properly wash the strawberries until my comment section became very fearful and asked how to wash them. Other people replied and I’ve heard salt water, vinegar, and many different methods I have never heard of before.”
