If you couldn't understand these movies then that's really sad, the movies on this list that I have seen, I have watched over and over again because they are interesting.

I enjoyed Moon and Ex machina but my favorite on this list was Arrival, a very thought provoking movie about contact with alien life.

Moon was very decent. If you missed 2017's Otherlife that was also a very good watch. I felt The Arrival was extremely dull and boring with very limited plot. Neon Demon was so stupid it was unwatchable. Not all films that try to make statements are interesting.

I couldn't understand The Arrival because the stars were whispering the entire movie. The plot was trying to translate the alien language to communicate. Hell, you had to translate the humans too!

#13 We need to talk about Kevin. One of the creepiest films I have ever seen. Not hard to understand.

Dancer in the Dark (2000)

Description: An Eastern European woman travels to the United States with her young son, expecting it to be like a Hollywood film.

“I saw it in theaters when it came out. Twenty years later, and I have not been brave enough to watch it again. It was absolutely brilliant but so emotionally draining. Björk is amazing, and the contrast of her musical numbers scattered amid a depressing plot is magical.”
