People don't get what a genius idea this is. Half of the world are constantly posting pics of the few interesting or weird things in their life. The restaurant serves weird stuff. With a bit of luck they mention their name. And you have free publicity that attracts other that want to take pics and laugh at weird servings.

#16 and #35 Is a valid way of serving beverages in Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Cambodia, Laos and Vietnam. Never been to Philippines or Indonesia, but I bet they do it too. Very practical.

Aside from it mostly looking pathetic and quite unappetizing, it also reaffirms the saying that says that "There's a sucker born every minute"

If you are dumb enough to spend $500 on a tasting menu, you DESERVE to have your dessert served in your hand!! dash

Last year I ordered seafood skewers in a very fancy restaurant. Imagine my surprise when the waitress returned with three skewers protruding out from her c#nt. She said that it was in an effort to minimise washing up etc. For dessert I ordered the chocolate mousse.
