Stuff used to be made a lot better and it was meant to last. These days everything is cheap and disposable. People get fed up with it too. I know I do.

Christy, was a reading problem. You didn't read the product specification with attention. She is not broken, this is the normal operation expected for this type of equipment. You can belive me, I have one with same kind of problem for 37 years.
