Recognized the shoe trees although I've not seen metal ones. I have a pair of cedar trees, and used to have a pair of plastic ones that I donated.

Noticed this strange drain in middle of Dutch bus lane. Is it to stop cars using lane?

A: It’s a bussluis. These are combinations of bus traps (stops narrower vehicles) and sump busters.
