Masks do not prevent you from getting an infection of covid, the flu, ebola etc. It is merely a precaution when working in a environment with high lvls of dust or other man made particles. Viruses are much smaller and not stopped by these masks. Full body protection or mask with air supply by oxygen tank is the only way. Assuming someones level of education simply illustrates a very narrow minded person with narcissistic traits. The effectiveness is up for discussion because if it doesnt work you should not be required to wear it and then be denied service without one.
