#14 Probably not, that's why they put money into it. If they go mass production, they won't be safe either, since it's stupid to make them safe. Safety is the last thing which is flight-related, everything else comes first, doesn't she know that?

While a nice concept you have to think about the public using them. Mother with children, how would it work? A couple sitting together? Throw in the ladder and older people and it is a mess. Airlines would be better off making a second floor above.

These seats take up the space of two normal seats. Kind of like first class seats?

Of course you can make a more luxurious seat with twice the room.
