As an American I can say I agree with you 100%. I'm embarrassed to say I'm American right now. I don't get the over the top patriotism people have... the flag waving... the attitude. But then again the people doing it are the ones who don't really see the rest of the world much. They just hide in their little corner of the world and isolate themselves. It's quite pathetic.

I'm embarrassed you're an American, too. Funny, all the people that I meet when I travel are excited to meet me and tell me how much they admire the U.S.A.
