WD Storage came up with a step-by-step guide on how to disappear from the internet completely
“Do you long for days gone by, when our lives were led in the real world rather than online? Perhaps you’re unhappy with the way social media makes you feel. Or maybe you’d just like your life to be more private. Maybe it’s time for you to disappear from the internet. Completely,” WD Storage writes in its article.
By trying to fool oneself into 'disappearing', you are doing yourself a disservice as the ideal is to shape perception rather than fight it.
And no mention of a VPN? No mention of logging onto your Bing/Google accounts and messing around with the privacy settings (for all the good it really does you)?
You have to be on the net. Make two "identities," at the easiest. One email/identity for all of your real dealings, such as shopping and the like where you need to have your real information out there. Use another identity and a different email account for every site that doesn't require your information for real, such as any freebie site, and for comments, as they don't need a credit card, so a fake name is fine. Do this with your social media accounts as well. When I was wasting time on Facebook to try it out, I had a fake name but emailed my friends to accept a request when it came through, so they would know it was really me despite the fake name.
'Wasting time on fb'
Fake name but all your friends accept you?
So fb knows who you are, dont worry.
What about dark web and creating redundant data?
Anyone some info?
