#1 Plastic cover and fonts (other than Craftsman) make it look more like 1980s.

Stanley at least is one thing that is still well made. I also had that alarm clock, but the stations I used to like waking up to are long gone.

#6 and actually most of this stuff. The quality of appliances now is generally so poor that 30 years from now the appliances made today will be nowhere to be found because nothing is made to last anymore.

“Luxury” items aren’t necessarily frugal, even if they last; but my grandpa bought these from a pawn shop for $40, and these S.T. Dupont lighters light every time 30 years later. Reliability of a Zippo but butane burning and snazzy too. Can always send in for repairs, and easy to find used
