Vinyl records can and do get repaired all of the time, some with shellac, some with a microlaser welding process, and some with a special bonding cement specially created to repair rare records.

Get a larger mailbox or have shipped with signature required. My box is large enough to fit a baseball team

Requiring a signature doesn't always work. A friend of mine had it specified for a pistol he bought, and they still just left it sitting on his front deck.
