Lemuel,

Yes but most trace back to a Merican economic hitman, politician or corporation. It is becoming clear that soon the world will turn its back in America and refuse to have anything to do with it. Moreover as Henry Kissinger said Israel will very soon cease to exist.

Americans were born exceptionally free from a feudal past, and hence free from an established church and an entrenched aristocracy. This made them exceptionally receptive to intellectual pluralism and exceptionally able to achieve social mobility. America had an exceptional revolution, one that did not attempt to define and deliver happiness, but one that set people free to define and pursue it as they please. Americans codified their Founding doctrines as a natural rights republic in an exceptional Constitution, one that does not say what government must do for them but what government may not do to them. And because the Founding experience was the result of, and affirmed the potency of, human agency, Americans are exceptionally impervious to bleak modern anxieties about human destinies being shaped by vast impersonal forces. America’s central government is exceptionally constructed to limit the discretion of those in power by balancing rival centers of power.

Nell,

Nell - George Will never anticipated us being stupid enough to elect people who openly state that their goal is the destruction of the Unites States. This has bothered me for a few years, but now I'm resigned to it. Demographics are against us. Open borders will sink us. If we're not smart or strong enough to keep our country, then we deserve to lose it.

However, and this is important, what evolves after that is not at all what the left thinks will happen. The next government will be very similar to current China. And we've seen how they treat "protesters."

-24- In the USA we learned that King George III was mad. That taxation without representation led to the revolution. That England quickly became an ally of ours. And that to this date, they remain our strongest ally. Churchill is very highly regarded and quoted. You guys have a past history of colonialism and at one point in history "the sun never set upon the British Empire".
Culturally, they provided us with nearly all the great literature in our language.
Socially, you tend to be quite reserved an unemotional. Your humor and wit is admired.
By and large, we don't understand the difference between, UK, England and Britain.

I was just so sick of schools rubbing the students noses in slavery and liberal politics. It's over. get over it.

#2 - This is nonsense. I grew up in India and they taught us extensive American history. So much that I know more than my co-workers who have lived here their entire lives!

#2 is correct. In India, only we knew Columbus discovered America instead of India. End of history.
