I feel sorry for people that can't just enjoy the movies these days and have to comment about a little, minor thing while ignoring all the work that went into those movies.

#2 well, it would be a lot more boring to watch the movie not being able to see facial expressions etc. It would save a lot on the budget being able to use whatever stand-in for the big names though. :-)

Who actually watches a movie frame by frame to find these ‘mistakes’. They probably ought to get a life.

To be fair, about half of these are ones that are going to jump out at you without needing to do any searching, if you're that way inclined. I mean, the waterfall flowing backwards is pretty obviously wrong, the stars through the porthole can be obvious if you've ever used a camera with manual focus and Ian McDiarmid doesn't grab your attention on the 30th rewatch, and I guess if you know your guitars Marty's anachronistic instrument would be obvious.

As to Hagrid's parents, love will find a way, especially if one of them is a wizard.

BTW, I had a Korean friend who was incensed beyond measure that all the North Korean characters spoke with _South_ Korean accents in 'Die Another Day' — and even more by the villain's dad, who had a Cantonese accent.

The Martian (2015)

In The Martian (and many other movies about space), viewers can always see the face of the person in the spacesuit as if there was some internal light in it. However, it’s impossible to see the faces of real astronauts from the outside. If the helmets of spacesuits really looked like they do in The Martian, people wouldn’t be able to see anything in space. To see what we mean, try looking outside at nighttime from a well-lit room.
