The US doesn’t ban video apps just because they’re from China. To succeed in banning the app, Trump would have to prove or falsify a real security issue. Considering the very low standard of acceptable “spying” set by Facebook and other social sites, I don’t see it happening. Also, even if they do succeed in banning the app, they can’t ban the website under any existing law.
