According to the manufacturer and OSHA, this type of ladder is not designed to be used when leaned against something. It is only supposed to be used completely open and with all four feet on level ground. I am waiting for the government over-reach or deep state conspiracy theories, go!

I'm sure a small job like this doesn't have enough employees to be under OSHA. However, it is really a bad idea. The only real complaint I can think about with government over reach and OSHA this situation is that they magically changed the way their understanding of masks when the cov hit. Never before could you allow an employee to wear a mask for 8 hours and especially without medical clearance.

No. 4 perfectly safe, the ladder is firmly anchored and not going anywhere. Done this myself when decorating halls.
