I think your new format of 5 pages stinks!!! Takes longer to load, NOT WORTH THE EFFORT, especially with all the repeats.

It should work much faster. Compare time needed to download 15 and 6 gifs on a page. Especially you will notice the difference trying to open a gifdump on a smartphone without wifi connection.

Load first frame of a gif as an image and then load each gif when clicked.
This will be even faster to load.
Pagination, in this case, is not needed and just ruins user experience.

Agree, it could be an option. It will be faster in terms of page load time.
What you miss is that a visitor will have to make 30 additional clicks to view all the gifs and still it takes some time to download each gif separately. I'm not sure such an experience is better and user friendly in any sense.

Yes, I am aware of 30 additional clicks a visitor have to make.
Loading only one gif takes less time than having 5 concurrent gif downloads at the same time.
Ok, there will some visitors with faster net speed, but still, there are the ones with slower net speed.
And loading each whole page with gifs takes much more time compared to only loading gifs.
I am not trying to convince you anything, just saying.
Personaly, I don't mind clicking on each image to load a gif, but as it is in everything with ppl, some will like this and others will like that.
