Mac or not, after more than a decade it is very close to useless. Source: I have a 2008 modell sitting in my basement, has been finally retired two years ago.

#1 $220 pair of Docs for $10? Bargain. I got a 'guaranteed for life' pair for about $220, free shoes for ever!
