Oddly Kakapo's are rapidly becoming extinct due to cat predation. On the other hand, a Shoebill will easily eat a cat.

Kagu

This grayish bird comes from New Caledonia and can be easily recognized by the length of its crest. It has a sort of nasal horn that no other bird in the world found so far seems to have. It spends most of its time on the ground, instead of flying. That’s because despite having large wings, it is actually not able to fly. It measures about 55 cm, but unfortunately it has become a threatened species.
