Óscar Isaac Hernández Estrada was born in Guatemala in 1979. He is a musician and actor, and began his career in the movies in 2002. He became famous for his role in the Coen brother’s black satirical drama Inside Llewyn Davis. His appearance in A Most Violent Year and his role in Ex-Machina consolidated his reputation as an indie actor that can pull off commercial movies too. But his jump to worldwide fame came with the new Star Wars trilogy produced by Disney where Isaac plays Poe Dameron.
