Born in La Spezia, Liguria, Giancarlo Giannini is an Italian actor, director, and dubber. He started his career in the cinema in 1965 during the Italian golden age of cinema, with his appearance in Fango sulla Metropoli. And after years of working with Italian directors from the ’80s, he started working more and more on foreign films. Some of the most important work he did was with American directors Francis Ford Coppola and Ridley Scott.
