One of the things I like about the internet you can ask questions about weird stuff and usually get answers from nice people. good

#11 Either I'm old or someone's really stupid to not know that that's a wall-mounted ashtray.

Governor, Yeah, I'm 73yo so I knew immediately what it was. But, smoking inside buildings hasn't been allowed for quite a few years, so kids today wouldn't have any idea. Just like something that I saw on TV, kids were given a rotary phone and told that it was a phone and gave them 10 minutes to make a call. None of them could figure it out. To us, it seems simple, but EVERYTHING is simple if you know how to use it.

“My friend found this scaffold-like structure on a trip. There was a paintball/airsoft field nearby, but I’m confused about the purpose of this. Located in Czechia, Europe.”

A: "It’s a 3D maze. Used in kid’s camps or other outdoor activity clubs (like Paintball, Airsoft, Trekking, etc.) In a paintball setting, it could be used to hold a flag or another capturable objective."
