That kind of a mouse wasn’t used by anyone except for the people that conceptualized the mouse. When the GUI matured a mouse became necessary but the first mass produced one looked a lot like what we have today except it had a ball on the bottom side and it was wired. In before “thanks boomer.”

"In the 60's of the 19th century" made me laugh on the vacuum one. Really that hard just to say 1860's?

The ones on the top/left still work while the ones on the bottom/right are mostly broken.

The prototype of an ATM was designed by Luther George Simjian in 1939. But due to some flaws, it wasn’t used until over 20 years after it was invented. And it was only in the ’60s that people started using them. The photo above shows actor Reg Varney using the first-ever ATM in the north of London.
