All an electric car does is moves the burning fossil fuels from the car to the powerplant......think about it.

Delius,

Actually, less efficiently. Every time energy changes form, there are losses. Converting fossil fuel to heat to electricity to chemical energy back to electricity to a magnetic field - to power an electric car has a lot of efficiency losses.

Philetus,
And you're talking sh#t, there are plenty of peer reviewed articles that state that the electric car is more energy efficient and is better for the world than any ICE. Not as green as some people think but still a lot better than what we have now.

Melly,
Sure if you exclude the non recyclable giant batteries use metals that detroy the planet when mined. So great. Would be better for the world if you would read both sides of the argument. And here is something else forget about cars all together. Cargo ships pollute about 100.000.000 more then all cars and planes combined.

Yes, if the powerplant is gas-powered. If the car is gas-powered, you can only use gas. There are a variety of ways to generate electric power.
