A lot of these are from the old TV show Trading Spaces. One of their "designers" was a whack-job named Hildy...a lot of these were her "creations". Most of the owner's positive reactions were carefully staged and just for the camera...in reality they were horrified. I used to watch this show just to see the occasional owner have an honest-to-god meltdown at the big "reveal. The producers didn't show those very often!
