#17 OK then, I'm gonna label my power cords with the word "power" so it doesn't get mistaken for a water hose.

#12 is great. I do that, too, because those simple boot shapers are like $60 a pair.

#7 number one cause of failure for cords is having been bent or laid crooked for an extended period of time. roll them up but avoid sharp bends in them.
