“As far as I can tell, the fact that it didn’t have a signal when the engine-lock was engaged put the car into a “super-lockdown-omfg” mode, and can’t be remotely reactivated remotely. The only way to release the lock is with a special tool that gets plugged in underneath the steering column, which the tech decided not to bring from out-of-state.”
