You can see the Roman Galleries of Lisbon only once a year.
Those wishing to see this attraction, a bizarre labyrinth, have to book tickets several months in advance. It’s impossible to visit it at another time because the galleries are flooded and in order to make the excursion possible, the water has to be pumped out for a while beforehand.

Instead, the São João night in Porto (23/6) and the Santo António night in Lisbon (12/6) are the best nights.... everyone is in the streets, parties with music, food and drink in every neighborhood in those towns. If you want to mingle with the locals in these towns, those are the nights to do it
