if the sign says 'closes at 10:00' and you walk in a 9:45, don't expect great service

I'm Belgian (as John Cleese says, psuedo f***ing French). I've been in the States a few times (50+) and always if you go to a restaurant (even the best) it looks like an industry or a school (you can eat between 8 and 10 or 10 and 12, something). Here you have the whole evening for yourself and your family. On the other hand, I liked the cheesecake factory (it's simple but OK and we weren't with the big bosses :-) )

Lucy,

You should visit some different restaurants in Belgium.
It differs highly per restaurant/zone.

Need to have more adult only restaurants. No kids allowed. They so often are the ones they ruin the entire experience when everything else has been lovely.
