#2 why was he in longer than his sentence was for? Why isn't SHE in jail now?!?! Yeah, I'll remember this when another radical feminist starts carping about "equality".

Greg,
My best guess is that he accumulated extra time for behavior while in prison. The US system can add time for the smallest of infractions. Cell phone, more time added to your sentence. Fighting, etc. all can add extra time.

Greg, It doesn't say that this is when he was released from prison. It says that he was exonerated. After his release, he kept fighting to clear his name, I would think.

There are only 4 white people, out of 20 listed. On the other side, there is only 13% of black population in USA - so STATISTICALLY (being innocent), there should be only 3 black guys here, and not 16.

What amount of money could make up for over a decade in prision because of somebody else's mistake? This is too much wasted time!

Nice stories, but, a flawed system imprisoned them and the same system freed them. I have no idea what I am talking about, but statistically, there probably is at least one victim feeling raped again by the exoneration.

Hodie, there are a lot of victims in such cases. Obviously the innocent person that served time and his family, but also the victim of the original crime have their closure ripped away and wounds opened. Not to mention the potential of the real perpetrator committing more crimes as she/he got away with it that time.
