And what are they going to find perfectly preserved thousands of years from our time period? Different versions of Iphones, Starbucks cups with names on them, and The Kartrashians.

Greg, maybe get out a little more. There are way more good things in this time period than trash. I would imagine the enduring things might include the first space flight, music, the internet, dog breed varieties, cars, planes, philanthropy, art, etc.... tons of stuff. Some of the negatives might include climate change and human-caused destruction, warfare, corrupt politics and government, disease, racism, urbanization, etc. Certainly real issues, not just pop culture.

Rella, I agree with all that you said, HOWEVER, your list of climate change and human-caused destruction, warfare, corrupt politics and government, disease, racism, urbanization, etc. raises a question in my mind. WHEN in all of human history did any of these thing NOT exist??? They've ALL been around since the beginning of recorded time. Pick one and think about it. Then, pick another and see what I mean!!!
To blame us, you'll have to get real specific, like.......plastic in the ocean. Hell, I wouldn't even bet on that. We just don't have proof of it. Maybe the ancients did invent plastic, but it just takes 10,000 years to degrade? Maybe that's the reason for the extinction of a lot of ocean life! Now, I don't necessarily believe that, but who knows?
