"For my school's spirit week, they had a "thrift shop" day, where most everyone dressed in old ratty clothes, or the weirdest stuff they could find in a thrift shop. Needless to say, as someone who's clothes were 80% second hand, it was an eye opener."
I've often wished that their was some required financial means test before having children so that no child would ever be forced to suffer parents who cannot afford them.
Life happens buddy. Sometimes tragedy or accidents happen that effect the parents income. It's not always just trash raising kids.
