#18 “For Christmas, my wife got a recording from Christmas 1973, the last year her grandmother was alive before breast cancer took her. My wife wasn't born until 1976. This is the first time she has ever heard her grandmother's voice.” -- HOW the f@#k is this possible? the grandmother died in 1973 and her child born in '76?!?!
I wish all grandparents were required to write a book about their lives and the libraries to store them. So much generational knowledge and wisdom lost.

It's the wife's grandmother that passed away. Not her mother.
Or in other words; the wife is not the grandmother's child but her grandchild.
