Japanese maple trees are very popular here in the pac nw though I think they're pretty they are also very slow growing and low to the ground. I think the point was that they are not Oregon Japanese maple trees as there is no such thing. It is a Japanese maple tree in Oregon. Most of the photos posted on this site are not even worth sharing in most cases.
