lol I'm not going to take sides here. We're all shallow. Women ask about height, men ask about weight, but everyone judges the face. Then we spend our lives justifying why we continue to date toxic people who look good versus decency and character, and blaming the opposite gender in between. Basically, we suck. :)

When young people are shallow, superficial and self-involved, it is natural. Only when we age and face our share of sh#t do we build character enough to judge who is really good for us and who is not which is probably why the divorce rate is high as it is. People could do a far better job at being more careful of other people's feelings, though you don't learn anything until you've crashed and burned a few times. I feel sorriest for the people stuck in abusive relationships that they are too scared or "stuck" to escape from.
