They all sound pretty rotten, but you can be sure not all these women on the receiving end were as innocent as Cinderalla, either.

My first wife's mom had passed away before we married so, I didn't know about mothers-in-law until she died and I remarried.

My present wife's mother was the nastiest woman I ever met. For Christmas, she gives checks. $50 for adults, $25 for kids. I always received $10. I never cashed them. I, privately, smiled when she died. I would never tell my sweet wife what I thought of her mom.

#1 In some countries this is a tradition. I would accept in respect but never use. Why she couldn't do the same? If those peoples were important to her... maybe not.

Vallie, It looks to me like they thought they found a way to get rid of an old mattress.

My mother in law has always been the greatest person with me. I guess I am the only one!

My paternal grandmother constantly called my Mom by my Dad’s first wife’s name “on accident”. She also called every year to wish them Happy Anniversary.... on my Dad’s first marriage anniversary. “On accident”, of course. Nasty woman.
