Cumberbatch never played House. Hugh Laurie did.

Frank,
Frank, if you paid better attention, he was referring to the "sarcastic genius" role that Cumberbatch plays in every freaking movie he's in. Same worn out premise that Laurie does.

Breaking the fourth wall always pisses me off. The Dead Don't Die would otherwise have been great...

...in the 90's you told people about the one bad movie you came across. In 2020, you tell them about the one good show you came upon.

Greg,

...Did you not see many movies in the 90s?

Yeah there are more bad ones now, but don't let nostalgia shade your memories of just so, so much awful garbage.

Swene

The heroes are whoever the target demographics are. The film makers are just trying to tick as many boxes as possible to maximize profits.

The thing that ruins most of the movies today is that they are not the pure entertainment that they once were, but instead that they must convey political or social messages of some woke kind. That and the usual male hero is either a f@#k up as a husband/father or both & it's the wise all knowing children who must guide them towards redemption. Every single teen has special powers flick ever made.

#17 ??? But, the aliens weren't from Earth, they were from outer space. And, in case you didn't notice it, America was shooting at the aliens, and nothing happened. Just like what you protest against??? And Willy (as you put it) knocked out an alien that had just crash landed and was barely conscious.

Gawd, I hate idiots.

ZombieDarwin, I think that part of the complaint was the use of words like "erf" instead of earth. You know, like 'baffroom' or 'I'll go wif you' and the like! Just as most black people speak, sometimes even the highly educated people.

In the eighties this was the rule. In Every movie with: Stallone, Charles Bronson, Steven Seagal, Van Damme and others.

#18 it is a classic until nowadays. Harry Potter is a good example. A God damn villain that spends 8 films to dye like a morrow.

#22
Transformers series are the worst merchandising ...

"Teenagers who sound like screenwriters trying to sound cool.

Never in the history of humanity have two 15 year olds randomly recited 18th century poetry to each other on the day they met, and all those snarky remarks makes the kids sound insufferable and annoying a lot more than clever.

Also notice that somehow every clever 15 y.o. always listens to music that was huge when the screenwriter was growing up, never something that is... you know... listened to by 15 year olds... as if there was no good music around presently.

PS. Also the whole sarcastic genius with no social clues...yes we get it Dr. House was a hit 20 years ago, now can we get Cumberbatch to play any other freaking role?"
