Hey downvoters! Howard is correct for the most part. On some, like the stupid grass straws, perhaps they don't take a tremendous amount of energy to produce. I don't want to drink anything out of a freakin' grass straw. Lot of those things (like the slippery cardboard coat hangers) simply do not work. Check how much toxic waste was produced and how much energy it took to make your precious Prius. Slave labor too. And fossil fuels burned to charge it.
